Clearing house was introduced to me through a purchasing group, The system seemed easy to use and cost effective
Why did you change to Clearing House from your previous system?
We previously used a UK dollar account but our clients in the USA said that it cost to much to cash the cheques. We used also had a US dollar account but this was closed by the bank as not enough transactions went through it. It was also quite expensive to run
What would you say to other organisations that are considering using Clearing House?
I started out using Clearing house as a stop gap until I resolved the issue of how to pay foreign clients, but I haven’t found anything better, quicker or simpler to use. Its worth giving it a try
What did you do before using Clearing House?
Had a UK dollar account with Barclays but clients overseas found it expensive to cash the cheques
Do you have any additional comments to make?
This facility is ideal for hotels paying small travel agent commissions. The Banks charge much more.
