CEL Transact appoint new PR Agency
14th December, 2010
Cheshire-based money services firm, CEL Transact, has appointed Manchester’s Smith & Smith PR to raise awareness of its money transfer solutions set to save UK universities £30 million in excess bank charges.
As higher education primes itself for 40 per cent spending cuts, Smith & Smith PR is charged with increasing universities’ understanding of CEL Transact’s cost-saving bank transfer tools. CEL Transact’s strong track record with language academies and universities in the UK, Europe and Asia will form a key element of Smith & Smith PR’s UK-wide campaign.
“Finding an agency agile enough to communicate the opportunity behind the spending review felt like a big ask”, commented CEL Transact’s Debbie Harrington. “Smith & Smith PR’s experience in representing Manchester University, and its alliance with the region’s Business Language Champions initiative, made this a natural partnership.”
“With universities scrabbling to cut costs without compromising on quality of teaching, CEL Transact has never been a more lucrative ally to the education sector”, commented Alison Dwyer, PR director at Smith & Smith PR. “CEL Transact has a proven case for supporting universities’ imminent cost-cutting challenge. We relish the opportunity to start a conversation with the educational community on eliminating costly hidden expenses. There’s an undeniably strong case for more efficient public sector housekeeping and our work with CEL Transact will focus on dispelling the misconceptions around essential versus excess spending.”
